Kitchen Exhaust Hood Cleaning Information


The regularity of cleaning will depend on how grease builds up your exhaust systems. The type of cooking and frequency of use will be a factor of this. Our typical kitchen exhaust cleaning takes about 4 hours. Cleaning is mostly done early in the morning or at night when the kitchens are vacant. Every job begins with a complete inspection of the entire exhaust system. Photos are always taken to document the state of the hood before and after the cleaning. We begin by wrapping the hood with plastic to protect the surrounding area from over-spray. Cleaning typically starts at the top of the system, on the roof, where the fan is located. We use nontoxic degreasers and hot water pressure washers. All filters get removed, soaked, degreased and polished. After the cleaning, the hood is polished, and the final result is documented with pictures. We always sanitize and disinfect the entire kitchen for FREE that is our final touch.
